This poem was written by my lil' bro for our wedding. He read it at our wedding dinner =)

Past and Present

Today we gather for a grand occasion.

Two people we know will be united.

It is well worth a big celebration.

I am sure the two are most excited.

They first met in Jr. High.

In a play called The Music Man.

Annie was Tyler's biggest fan,

Because Tyler was quite the guy.

Ice Age Two was their first date.

Mimi's Café was where they ate.

I assume that night went really great

For something special they did create.

In high school they were the cutest thing.

Annie asked him to spring fling.

The couple was always together.

Nothing could tear the two asunder.

But then they hit a huge transition.

Tyler was about to go on his mission.

He would only be gone for two years.

But that didn't stop Annie's tears.

Tyler served on California's streets

As one of gods well dressed elites.

As every day went by door to door,

He missed Annie more and more.

She would send him things by post.

Things that Tyler needed the most.

Things from candy, socks and peanut ball cookies.

To toothbrushes, tide to-go pens, and other such goodies.

Finally came the day when he came back to Utah.

And you might guess the first person he saw.

The one girl he missed oh so dear.

The sight made him grin ear to ear.

Exactly one month and seven days later he proposed to her at The Roof.

If you look at the two you would agree with me that they are proof.

That true love and happiness really does exist.

April 12th 2006 it all started when they first kissed.

Tomorrow is their big special day.

When their life changes in every way.

And they both meet in the temple and say:

"I do," then kiss and throw the bouquet.
