Baby Andersen #3 journal
Baby Andersen #3 journal
I'm going to attempt to keep a journal throughout the pregnancy or something like that. SO here goes.

I have started a blog post after I found out with every single one of my last two pregnancies so I thought I would attempt to keep up the tradition!! First off, I am scared to death of having a third. It took a long time for us to feel ready for another. And I'm not even sure what "ready" means. But we are ready to face the challenges that #3 will bring. We waited until we were absolutely sure because it has never taken us long to get pregnant. I have always been aware of the fact that we are beyond lucky to get pregnant so easily. It's always made me feel guilty and it was hard to tell loved ones the good news who had been struggling getting pregnant. So this time around when we didn't get pregnant on the first month of trying like our last two pregnancies, I will admit I was a bit surprised but reminded myself that it was normal and just fine.
It took us 7 months to get pregnant this time.
Which is nothing compared to some of you, I realize that. I'm just stating a fact: it took us seven months. September-March. I didn't have much time to feel down about not getting pregnant right away though for the first 3 months because I was in the midst of selling LuLaRoe. But as soon as January hit I starting to get anxious. I took 2 negative pregnancy tests during this time because I had convinced myself I had pregnancy symptoms and was a day (or half a day) late. My body played some mean tricks on me making me think I was pregnant. I vowed after my second negative one that I would never take another again unless I was 99% sure I was pregnant.
It was a bit of a mental struggle telling myself to chill out and be patient. To trust that it would happen when it was meant to happen. To stop comparing myself to my close friends getting pregnant right away who started trying after me. Ya know, all of the things that some if not most of you have been through. But I was going through it for the first time and it definitely effected me a bit.
Enter the month of March.
I hope I don't offend any November/December birthdays, but I was not keen on having a Christmas/Thanksgiving baby. Having a baby around Christmas time seemed a bit awful to me. Not only is it already such a busy month for a birthday but having a newborn and worrying about christmas presents etc? (I'm just going to tell everyone now that they are getting money this year ;) So we just didn't "try" during the month of March. Or so we thought!! Funny how life plays little tricks on us like that. So when my time of the month came around in the beginning of April, I LEAST expected to miss my period. I even restocked on new tampons and pads cause I was so confident I would be starting! I waited 4 days past my missed period to test. That may not seem like a big deal to some, but it is to me. I am the most impatient person when it comes to taking pregnancy tests and usually test BEFORE my missed period. Finally on day 3, I told Tyler I would buy a test and take in the next morning. He was hesitant because he didn't want me to be sad again if it was negative. I didn't really have any sings (that i could count on) of pregnancy either. I woke up at 6:30 am on April 6th and (just like when I was about to test with Hayden) I couldn't get back to sleep knowing I was about to test! (Even though we weren't thrilled about a Christmas time baby, I was still so wanting a positive! And if I was pregnant, it meant was that this pregnancy was supposed to be a Christmas baby. So I wanted it really bad.) So I got up and was shaking I was so nervous. The +plus+ of the positive was instant and it was a huge shock. I had been preparing myself for disappointment. I immediately ran and jumped onto the bed to wake up Tyler. He had obviously known I was taking one in the morning so when he woke up to me grinning like a maniac from ear to ear with tears in my eyes he knew immediately. He was the most excited with this one than he was with the past two because of how much harder it had been this time. Not to say he wasn't excited with the past two but we hardly had to try for those. This positive took 7 months. I know some people try for 7+ years and I can't imagine and I hurt and pray for you so much!!! It is such a hard thing and I wish it didn't exist!!
Here are some pics! Some of these pics were totally impromptu =)
The girls have no idea what they are holding haha.

So..today is Easter and yesterday I spent 3 hours in the ER. Why? The worst migrane on the face of this earth. Aside from my head wanting to crack open, I went numb on one side. My face, lips, arm and leg. tingly and numb. I also couldn't see clearly, read, text or talk coherently. I freaked(panic attack) and thought I had a stroke or Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. My mom came over straight away so that Tyler and I could go to the ER. They ran as many tests as was safe for pregnancy and I got hooked up to an IV and got two bags. Obviously it was not what we had feared.
Just a complex migrane with an Aura. I have been drinking water religiously. I pray that it never happens again. ever. edit at a later time: It was also quite an expensive migrane I will say that. UGH.

I saw my ob for the first time today! Her name is Mallorie Evenson-Cracroft. I had a woman ob with my past two girls in Provo and I loved it(and miss her so so much). Mallorie was highly recommended to me by many people plus I have a connection to the clinic she works in. Btw thank you to all who recommended an ob to me back when I asked on Facebook!! That's how I found out about Mallorie! She is just as amazing as everyone said and was so sweet with Hayden(Halli was in preschool thankfully so I only had to deal with one child). I was so excited that I got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. 150 BPM. Everything looked good and I was so relieved! The due date was right on for:
December 9th, 2017.
Here is the little jelly bean.

The first trimester is absolutely the worst thing ever. Thank heavens for nausea medicine!! Unfortunately it makes me so dang tired. I am barely surviving lately and am doing the bare minimum which has been hard with my LuLaRoe biz. Thank goodness Tyler has stepped up and is the only one cleaning/cooking these days. So far no throw up yet(fingers crossed. I didn't throw up with Hayden but did with Halli. A lot. so I don't understand it one bit. (My only guess is with Halli I was going to school and working so I didn't eat through my nausea.) I have no feelings whether it's a boy or a girl. Okay that's a lie. My rational mind says "well we have two girls I think the odds are pretty good for a boy." obviously that means nothing but we will be happy with a healthy baby!! Halli says baby brother but we keep reminding her that a baby sister would be so fun too. We waited as long as we could to tell them but Halli caught on and one day flat out asked me: "mommy, do you have a baby in your tummy?" Haha she was so excited and they both love patting and kissing my pudgy belly. I will say, it was instantly bloated. This is my belly at the end of the night at only 9 weeks.
This is my life: cheerios. always.

I am so happy to finally be at 11 weeks. This is the week I was longing for when I was only 5 weeks and feared miscarriage. It just feels amazing to be almost 12 weeks and starting to get some relief from the nausea. I still have to eat like all the time or the nausea will return but at least I'm not eating through the nausea anymore. I just eat to avoid the nausea now. Some things I have noticed myself craving are salty things. Potato chips, salt and vinegar chips, popcorn, and my favorite: fries with ketchup. I am always hungry for fries and ketchup. or sour gummy candy. Not good I know. Why can't I crave carrots? or apples? Haha. I will say that this time around I am better at handling my mood swings. I find myself losing patience with my girls a lot but I am not perpetually in a bad, silent treatment mood all the time like I was in my previous pregnancies. Maybe i'm finally growing up? HAHA. It might be because I have too much going on with LuLaRoe. I am way more distracted this pregnancy which has been a love/hate thing. It's rough wanting so badly to sleep during Hayden's nap but know that I have a business to run and packages to ship. There have been some tears but it is getting better! I haven't felt up to taking a new 11 week picture but here is a video of my current pudge:

As a December baby, I can tell you it sucks and I am not offended. I always tell my mom I'm not having a December baby, but I guess we'll see. Marty's birthday is just a few days before mine so I am going to try to be very careful about that! I'm so happy for you though!
